2010 ODYSSEY

Hello there,
U might thing i'm dead or something worst, but i'm actually quite Ok. Check Heidi's blog out for our last X-mas trip to India.
The title of this post comes from my last thought. Though i'm quite alright teaching PE in the school, sometimes kids really get on my nerves, and that's not the best feeling on Earth, then i've been thinking (watch out there) and i've decided to become a fireman! Yes!! Basically, the working conditions are awesome: 24h shift and 5 days off. Just perfect for climbing, playing, reading, riding, or whatever...The only thing is that the physical test to pass are quite demanding:
- 400m running in 55seconds.
- 50m swimming in 28 seconds.
- 6m rope climbing in 5.5 seconds.
- 30 pull-up (with no time limit)
- 40 reps with 48kg in the bench press (that's my personal odyssey)

so, i've been training for about 5 weeks and i look quite like this one already.

though i will (hopefully) become like this at the end of the training:

well, my friends i leave here a funny couple with the best solo ever (with spanish subtitles for those who want to learn some español). kisses (hers) and hugs (his)

Yes!

So, after quite many tries, both Jesus and I climbed our life-time proyect in a local climbing area (8a+/8b) (Castillo de Bayuela). As soon as I get a picture of it I'll post it, cause it's quite nice setting and the wall is impressing (like a 15m-high and up to 60º overhanged).
Cheers to all and take care fellas!

Well, in the end it didn't come so soon... but as Jack the Ripper used to say: "Let's take it in parts!"

Mallorca - Psicoblock 2008One of the caves at "Cala Barques"Jesus at "Cova del Diable" ("Devil's Cave", much higher than it looks...)Bendel in the same cave, around 15m above see levelJerry taking off to "lose" fear during the first days. i never dared to do that voluntarily
Me on Bandito, one of the nicest routes at "Cala Barques"
Living in a cave...
...and playing on the sand

Jesus and me at Cala Barque Beach, very good spot to have a cheap accomodation place
...Part of the Crew...
...and our only roof after 10 of the best days in my life.

Austria
Straight from Mallorca, and after 10 days without any sweet-water shower, I flew to Linz (Austria) to spend 3 weeks there.
It was basically: resting, travelling, laughing, eating-drinking-falling sick, hiking and, of course, climbing.

In order to pass as a local, i got some leather trousers. on the pic i'm have my 3-day-lasting moustache (Heidi didn't let me to have it longer if i wanted to have any S*X life...)

We went with Shurli and Evi to Ramsau where we spent 1 night in an awesome valley
we hicked for 11h passing the first and only snow I saw in 2008,
We made a Via Ferrata,

took our rest,

until we got to some of the nicest views on the planet: Danke Shruli & Evi!!!

Bouldering in Kramst (1h from Viena)

Small area, but amazing ploblems. Cristi on the pics
Good pictures by Shurli, bad faces by me.

Once back in Spain the high-light is that I got the teaching job!!! I'm working in a 40km-away village with 12-14 yr old kids. I didn't know it was legal to work so little, hehe
More news: I got my first car! not a van as I wanted, but the Citroën Xsara I got was so cheap that Heidi and I can sleep on a Hotel for years until we make the difference until the price of a van.
Over here i still too warm for good bouldering (sorry to say so SUOMI friends..), but anyway next weekend we are heading to Albarracín. I'm waiting for you emails telling me you are coming, so What the F**k are you waiting for?

Big hugs, love and anal sex to all

Coming soon...

Hello there!
At the moment i'm in Austria enjoying my time with Heidi, Family & Friends. This place is really beautifull in summer, the only bad thing is that i don't have good pics with me so soon i'll put pics of both this trip (hikking, climbing and happying) and my previous one in Mallorca (climbing, falling, swimming and all over again).
So, this is only a bit of an advance of my next entry.
Take care and big hugs to all!
